Plant-Based, Dairy Free, No Refined Sugar, Gluten Free
With the holidays not over just yet, we wanted to share with you one of our favorite brownie recipes that still lets you enjoy a sweet treat, without needing to rely on hyper-refined ingredients.
We would even go as far to say that this brownie recipes is actually beneficial for your gut microbes! The black beans, banana and oats provide excellent prebiotic starch, the cacao, carob and dates are not just prebiotic, but also feed your microbes a mix of phytonutrients and minerals.
For anyone thinking oats, black beans, or dates hurt their stomach, well we can definitely fix that! Don't wait to fix your gut microbiome so you can enjoy and digest healthy plant-based foods.
Brownie Ingredients:
1/2 cup black beans (slightly drained)
1 ripe banana
1 cap of vanilla extract
1 cup oats
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp cacao
1 tbsp carob
12 dates
1 serving Complement protein (optional)
4 tbsp hemp seeds
Toppings:
Handful of Crushed Walnuts
Handful of 100% Dark Chocolate Chips (no added sugar)
Instructions:
Preheat oven or toaster oven at 350 degrees fahrenheit
Add all brownie ingredients to a food processor.
Mix until uniform.
Line cake tin with parchment paper.
Pour into a size 9in circular pie/cake tin
Add toppings.
Place into the oven for 25 min.
Take out of the oven and let cool for 5 min.
Slice into squares and Heal with Each Meal!
